Sep 3, 2023 · Question: Ford Focus Zetec 1.8L TDCI/MAN. Got engine fault. Test did not pass due to EGR not working properly. The battery goes flat when EGR socket connection is connected. (I removed this connection and battery is OK now). Engine revs up at top speeds 60-80 Kms/hr. with a deep sound and EGR disconnected.

I had a diagnostic done today. Couple of sensors replaced under warranty, which is good. Also, they said the Mass air-flow sensor needed to be serviced.
